Christopher R. Leader, AIA


Principal

As founder and namesake of Leader Design Studio, Chris closely oversees each project from inception to construction completion. An award-winning designer known for his clean, elegant style, he appreciates a very interactive process.  His thoughtful designs are innovative in form as well as function and hold a strong connection to our natural surroundings.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University, Cum Laude.  He is an active member of the Sarasota Architectural Foundation and member of the American Institute of Architects.

Jedd W. Heap, AIA, CSI, LEED AP BD+C


Architect

Jedd has worked in the region for 20 years, gaining experience in a variety of project types including Multi-family residential, recreation, government, commercial, healthcare, and educational projects. As project architect of such projects like the IMG Academic center & Nate Benderson Park Finish Tower, Jedd oversaw the design and construction documents, as well as, construction progress and contract administration. He has completed over a dozen LEED projects, including the LEED Gold Sun-N-Fun Wellness Center and the LEED Platinum Learning Gate Charter School.

David Morrison, Associate AIA


Project Manager

David holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of South Florida, where he was awarded an AIA Tampa Bay Unbuilt Design Award as a student in addition to receiving the 2013 Paul Rudolph Scholarship from Sarasota’s Architectural Foundation (SAF). Upon graduating, David relocated to the area and managed a variety of award-winning projects from the initial design phase through construction as part of a design-build effort. Through this experience, David understands not only how a building comes together, but how to execute a project’s original design intent from inception to completion.

Robert Jimenez, AIA


Project Architect

Robert is committed to designing high-performance, custom-tailored buildings that highlight the honesty of materials and beauty of thoughtful simplicity. Originally from Philadelphia, he was a member of several award-winning design firms in Pennsylvania and Vermont prior to relocating to Florida. Robert strives to create durable and efficient homes that foster and encourage his clients’ unique lifestyles. Listening carefully, communicating clearly with the team, and having an unwavering dedication to craftsmanship and the environment are essential components to all of his projects. Robert holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
