Challenged with designing a new Barber shop for a long narrow space, the team created a suspend wood ceiling and wall to define the barber stations from the rest of the uses. The wood helps to create a human scale that was missing from the raw shell space.

In addition to the barber stations, frosted glass partitions divide the space into hair washing stations and manicure & pedicure stations. Additionally the program includes a massage room, restroom, and staff break area. In order to provide privacy the massage room has been located toward the back, away from the louder work areas.

Dark wood, industrial black steel and simple accent lighting create the feel the client was seeking for a men’s oriented salon.
